Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I find your packages and pricing?

Our packages and prices are all available on our website. You can find it by clicking the "Catering Packages" tab on the top of the page.

How can I check if you’re available on a certain date and time?

Once you click on the "Catering Packages" tab and go through the prompts, you will be asked to choose the date and time for your booking. If the date and time slot you're requesting is not available, please email us for more information.

How do I book your services?

You can book our services by choosing one of our packages from our "Catering Packages" page and filling out the required information.

Do you have a menu that I can look at?

Our menu is available for viewing on our website. You can find it by clicking on the "Menu" tab at the top of the page.

When and how do I pay for the booking?

Once the booking process is completed, you will receive a PayPal invoice within 48 hours. A 50% deposit is required to secure the booking with the remaining balance being due on the day of the event. The invoice will be coming from C&J Enterprise.

What if I don’t see the package that I want on your website?

If your event requires more servings than what the displayed packages offer, please email us at LocoLotesLA@gmail.com

What if I want to add more hours?

If you require additional hours added to a package, please include the request in the notes during booking.

How far do you guys travel? What is the mileage charge outside of L.A. County?

We can travel up to 100 miles from North Hollywood. The mileage charge varies upon the location of the event. If you would like to know what the mileage charge for your event is, please email us at LocoLotesLA@gmail.com

How much space is required for on-site catering?

If the event is during sunlight hours and we will be in an unshaded area, we require a 10x10ft space for our canopy.

If the event is during the evening/night or in a shaded area during the day, we require an 8x8ft space.

How much space is required for the elote-bar?

Our setup requires a 2x6ft table (not provided). However, we recommend a 2x8ft table for the Elote Bar packages of 150 servings or more.

Do you need electricity or running water?

No, we bring everything we need with us. The only things we require is space for our setup and a parking spot for our vehicle.

What information do you need from me to book a package?

All the information required will be obtained during the booking process on our "Catering Packages" page.

Do you have a W-9?

Yes, we can provide a W-9.

Do you have a health permit?

Yes, we have a health permit.

Do you have insurance?

Yes, we can provide a COI (Certificate of Insurance) and include additional Insured upon request.

What time do you guys arrive to set-up and how long does it take for you to set up?

Our setup takes between 15 and 30 mins. We will arrive 30 mins prior to serving time to begin setup. If you would like us to be there earlier, please let us know in the notes section during the booking process.

 

Please note: A request for earlier arrival outside of our 30 minutes period will reflect as additional hour(s) on the invoice with a one hour minimum fee.

How many guests can each package serve?

Our packages range from 50 servings to 4,000 servings. Please visit our "Catering Packages" page to view the number of servings included in each package. For more than 300 servings, please email us directly at LocoLotesLA@gmail.com.

Do your packages come in cobs and cups?

Traditionally, our packages only include cups. We can provide cobs upon request so long as they do not surpass 10% of the total number of servings for your package.

However, we recommend only using cups for a variety of reasons.

1) You get 1.5 cobs per cup as opposed to just one cob, which means you get more corn per serving.

2) It is easier and cleaner to eat, which your guests will appreciate.

3) It is faster to serve and your guest won't have to wait in line.

Can I customize the package?

Our packages are preset with a designated number of servings, however, our menu is customizable.

 

For on-site catering, we bring enough toppings and drizzles, so guests can customize their own cups or choose from our signature elotes.

For the Elote Bar, we provide enough toppings and drizzles to make an even amount of our signature elotes. However, if you want more of one flavor versus another, please request it in the notes during the booking process.

Do you use fresh/canned corn? Is it field/sweet corn?

All of our corn is fresh! We have never and will never used canned corn. We only use sweet corn as it provides a much richer taste and texture.

Do you roast or boil your corn?

All of our corn is boiled because it provides a much softer yet crunchy consistency. We do not offer roasted corn.
